Dundee-Bradford
Girls Basketball
The Dundee-Bradford girls basketball team defeated Honeoye, 65-13, Thursday, Dec. 12. Kendall Parker led with 29 points. Meredith Doan added eight.
The BraveScots topped Red Jacket, Tuesday, Dec. 10. The final score was 69-13. Parker paced the team with 38 points. Danica Hall posted 12.

Boys Basketball
The Dundee-Bradford boys basketball team lost to Honeoye 53-45, Thursday, Dec. 12. The team beat Red Jacket 53-43, Tuesday, Dec. 10. Jeremy Stiles posted 13 points and four steals. Aidan Webster contributed 12 points, 11 rebounds, seven steals and four assists. Chris Clancey had 11 points, six rebounds, three assists, three steals and two blocks. Alex Goltry added 10 points and eight rebounds.

Indoor Track
Dundee-Bradford athletes competed at Nazareth University, Saturday, Dec. 14. Top finishers included:
• Peyton Mullin: first, shot put and third, weight throw
• Kendall Parker: second, 55 meter dash
• Hamilton Iszard: second, high jump and fifth, triple jump
• Girls 4x200 relay: third
• Marleigh Parker: fifth, pole vault
• Ian Pavlina: fifth, 55 meter dash

Wrestling
The BraveScots varsity wrestling team competed at the Campbell-Savona Holiday Duals last weekend. Placing for the team was:
• Shawn LaBar: 5-0, first place
• Gavin Hall: 3-0, first place
• Caden Hill: 4-1, second place
• Gage Machuga: 4-1, second place
• Caleb Bartlett: 3-1, second place
• Lebron Chilson: 3-2, third place
• Conner Erick: 2-1, fifth place
• Carson Conway: 2-2, seventh place
The team also won the sportsmanship award for the second year in a row.

Penn Yan
Boys Basketball
The Penn Yan boys basketball team lost to Newark, 74-52, Friday, Dec. 13. Matthew Tones scored 21 points. Aven Foster had 13.

Girls Basketball
The Penn Yan girls basketball team lost to Newark, 64-39, Thursday, Dec. 12. Corinne Barden led with 11 points, Bailey Cooper had 10 and Breanne Dunning added eight.
The team also fell to Canisteo-Greenwood by a score of 47-33, Tuesday, Dec. 10.

Bowling
The Penn Yan boys bowling team defeated Palmyra-Macedon (5-0) and Waterloo (3-2) last week. The girls also won both matches, shutting out their opponents, 5-0.

Indoor Track
Penn Yan athletes competed at Nazareth University, Saturday, Dec. 14. Top finishers included:
• Lydia Sciallo, fifth, weight throw and eighth, shot put
• Ashlynn Nielsen-Henderson, 10th, race walk

Wrestling
The Penn Yan varsity wrestling team competed at the Campbell-Savona Individual Tournament on Saturday, Dec. 14. The team earned 15 combined pins.
Levi Hilton went 5-0 for a first-place finish. Ty Conover (4-1) and Cullen Maher (3-2) both took second place. Jared Kerrick (2-2), Levi Orr (2-2) and Mark Truex (1-3) all earned third-place finishes. Blake Roberts captured his first varsity win by pin.

Hammondsport
Boys Basketball
The Hammondsport boys basketball team lost to Houghton, Monday, Dec. 9. The final score was 42-35.

Girls Basketball
The Haverling/Hammondsport girls basketball team defeated Dansville, 39-37, Friday, Dec. 13. The team lost to Geneseo, 38-31, Tuesday, Dec. 10.

Wrestling (Avoca-Prattsburgh/Hammondsport)
The wrestling team competed at the 17th annual Ark-Can Holiday Wrestling Tournament, Saturday, Dec. 14.
• Hudson Cole was second in the 124-pound division.
• Dallas Brady took third at 190 pounds.
• Justin Palmer finished third at 215.

WATKINS GLEN
Boys Basketball
The Watkins Glen boys basketball team fell to Lansing, 55-45, Friday, Dec. 13. Jude Santos led with 15 points, seven rebounds, two assists and one steal. Christopher Simiele added 12 points, nine rebounds, one assist and five steals.

Girls Basketball
The Watkins Glen girls basketball team won against Lansing, 51-28, Friday, Dec. 13. Rachel Vickio had 10 points with eight rebounds and Brianna Hatch, nine points and seven rebounds. Olivia King posted eight points and seven rebounds.

Swimming (WG & O-M)
The Schuyler Storm swim team placed ninth at the Shen Holiday Invitational in Clifton Park, Saturday, Dec. 14. Carson Thaete was fourth in the 200 free. Ryan Dean took sixth in the 100 back.
The team beat Dryden, 113-63, Monday, Dec. 9. Alex Walters posted four first-place finishes, while Thaete and Dean had three.

Indoor Track
The indoor track team competed in the 607 Invitational at SUNY Cortland, Saturday, Dec. 14. Top finishers included:
• Isaac Hendrickson was ninth in the 1000 meter run and 20th in the 600 meter run.
• Aiden Nichols was 11th in the shot put.
• Benjamin Henry took 15th in the 3,200 meter run.

ODESSA-MONTOUR
Girls Basketball
The Odessa-Montour girls basketball team beat Spencer-Van Etten, 44-36, Friday, Dec. 13. Leah Antes scored 14 points and had 15 rebounds. Brooklynn Thompson added 13 points (four-three pointers). Evvie Zinger recorded seven points, five steals and seven rebounds.
The Grizzlies won against Lansing, 54-42, Tuesday, Dec. 10. Evvie Zinger had a career-high 24 points (four-three's) and eight rebounds. Leah Antes scored 13 points with 12 rebounds and three assists.

Boys Basketball
The Odessa-Montour boys basketball team won against Spencer-Van Etten, Thursday, Dec. 12. The final score was 47-36.

Wrestling (O-M & WG)
Jackie Mace went 4-1 at the Union-Endicott Girls Tradesman tournament, Friday, Dec. 13. The wins came by pins and tech falls. The one loss was by decision, 7-4.
For the boys, Lucas Hoffman was second at the Dave Buck Memorial Tournament, Saturday, Dec. 14. He fell to Trevor Middendorf of Newark Valley in the finals.
Other place winners included: Dana Guild (third), Jared Watson (fifth), Ean Walsh (sixth) and Joey Chamberlin (sixth).
The wrestling team won against Spencer-Van Etten/Candor, 52-14, Thursday, Dec. 12. Competitive wins were recorded by:
Nicky Sorce (pin), Lucas Hoffman (tech fall), Hunter Barrett (pin), Jared Watson (tech fall), Ean Walsh (pin), Joey Chamberlin (pin), Patrick Croft (pin) and Isaac Rumsey (pin).

Dundee-Bradford
Girls Basketball
The Dundee-Bradford girls basketball team competed in the Waterloo Tournament, Friday and Saturday last week. The team initially lost to Honeoye Falls-Lima, 61-33, before beating Greece Athena/Odyssey, 55-26.
In their win, Kendall Parker scored 20 points. Riley Stinson had 14 points and Meredith Doan, nine.

Indoor Track
The Dundee-Bradford indoor track team competed at Nazareth University, Saturday, Dec. 7. Top finishers included: Peyton Mullin was first in the shot put and third in the weight throw. Hamilton Iszard was first in the high jump and fifth in the triple jump. Ryan Longmore took fourth in the shot put. Grady Cole was sixth. Marleigh Parker finished seventh in the pole vault.

Wrestling
The Dundee-Bradford wrestling team participated in the Lyons Tournament. Overall, the wrestlers had 39 matches, notching 32 wins and only seven losses on the day.
Highlights include: Lebron Chilson was 5-0 on the day; Cadan Hill 5-0; Caleb Bartlet 5-0; Gage Machuga 4-1; Gavin Hall 4-1; Shawn Labar 4-1; Carson Conway 3-1 - first ever match he won with a pin in the third round and Connor Erick 2-1. Hill posted the fastest pin in 14 seconds.

Penn Yan
Boys Basketball
The Penn Yan boys basketball team lost to Haverling, 49-44, Friday, Dec. 6. Tyler Gilbert scored 10 points. Ethan VanDelinder had nine.
The Mustangs lost to Waterloo, Wednesday, Dec. 4. The final score was 60-47. Anthony Condella posted 22 points. Matthew Tones scored 11.

Girls Basketball
The Penn Yan girls basketball team won against Williamson/Marion, Saturday, Dec. 7. The final score was 45-18. The team also beat Alexander, 56-22, Friday, Dec. 6.

Bowling
The Penn Yan boys bowling team won against Newark, 4-1, Thursday, Dec. 5. The girls lost 4-1. The boys and girls both topped Wayne to open the season, Tuesday, Dec. 3. Both teams won 5-0.

Indoor Track
The Penn Yan indoor track team competed at Nazareth University, Saturday, Dec. 7. Top finishers included: Lydia Sciallo was fifth in the weight throw. Danielle Miller took sixth. Eva Smith was ninth in the 1,000 meter run.

Wrestling
The Penn Yan wrestling team lost to South Seneca, Thursday, Dec. 5. The final score was 39-24. Recording competitive wins were: Cullen Maher (pin), Jacob Eaves (pin) and Jared Kerrick (pin).

Hammondsport
Boys Basketball
The Hammondsport boys basketball team won against Alfred-Almond, 47-27, Saturday, Dec. 7. The Lakers lost to Andover-Whitesville, Friday, Dec. 6. The final score was 77-38.

Girls Basketball
The Haverling/Hammondsport girls basketball team lost to Avoca-Prattsburgh, 56-54, in a tournament they hosted, Saturday, Dec. 7. The team opened by winning against Campbell-Savona, 57-20.

Wrestling (Avoca-Prattsburgh/Hammondsport)
The Avoca-Prattsburgh/Hammondsport hosted the annual duals matchup last weekend. The team beat Corning, Penn Yan and Warsaw on Saturday, Dec. 7.

WATKINS GLEN
Boys Basketball
The Watkins Glen boys basketball team won against Greene, 46-30, Saturday, Dec. 7. Jude Santos led with 15 points, nine rebounds and two steals. Brady Bockelkamp added eight points and 11 rebounds.
The Lake Hawks lost to Lansing, Friday, Dec. 6. The final score was 54-47. Christopher Simiele led with 22 points. Santos added 13.

Girls Basketball
The Watkins Glen girls basketball team fell to Hornell in the fifth annual Way-Co Hall of Fame Basketball Showcase, 56-31, Saturday, Dec. 7. Rachel Vickio led with 17 points. Olivia King added six points, seven rebounds and three steals.

ODESSA-MONTOUR
Girls Basketball
The Odessa-Montour girls basketball team lost to Notre Dame, 59-53, Saturday, Dec. 7. Highlights  for the Grizzlies include: Leah Antes had 22 points, seven rebounds and was 10-for-10 at the foul line. Evvie Zinger contributed 13 points, seven rebounds and four steals. Brooklynn Thompson had eight points, four assists and six rebounds. Vanessa Wood added five points, five rebounds and four steals. Olivia Barr scored three points and Olivia Rivera two points.
The girls opened the season with a win against Sayre, Wednesday, Dec. 4. The final score was 48-18. Antes posted 18 points, eight rebounds and seven steals. Barr added 11 points.

Boys Basketball
The Odessa-Montour boys basketball team lost to South Seneca, 52-28, Friday, Dec. 6.

Wrestling (O-M & WG)
The wrestling team competed in the Larry Goodrich Invitational at Newark Valley last weekend. Lucas Hoffman was second, falling to Trevor Middendorf of Newark Valley in the finals. Patrick Croft took fourth. Jackie Mace was third in the girls competition.
 
Week of 12-4-24
Basketball season opens with Tip-Off Tournament
The Dundee-Bradford boys basketball team hosted the Tip-Off Tournament, Friday and Saturday last week. On Friday, the BraveScots won 62-48 against Midlakes before falling to Waterloo in the championship game on Saturday, 64-53. Against Midlakes, Chris Clancey posted 21 points, 10 rebounds and five assists. Aidan Webster had 18 points, seven rebounds and five assists. Jeremy Stiles added 11 points, two steals and one rebound. Facing Waterloo, Webster and Stiles each had 14 points and Clancey contributed 10.
