Penn Yan-Dundee Football
The Penn Yan-Dundee football team hosted Geneva for its season-opening game, Friday, Sept. 1. Geneva won 36-0. The team will now face Hornell, away, Saturday, Sept. 9. Kick-off is 1:30 p.m.

Dundee-Bradford
Boys Soccer
The Dundee-Bradford boys soccer team recorded two wins last week. They defeated Waterloo, 4-2 on Friday and Penn Yan, 2-1, on Thursday. Against Penn Yan, Aiden Monell and Ian Pavlina posted goals.

Girls Soccer
The Dundee-Bradford girls soccer team lost to Naples, 4-1, Thursday, Aug. 31.

Volleyball
The Dundee-Bradford volleyball team opened the season against Addison, Wednesday, Aug. 30. The BraveScots fell in five games. The scores were 14-25, 26-24, 25-23, 20-25, 13-15.

Penn Yan
Boys Soccer
The Penn Yan boys soccer team fell to Dundee-Bradford, 2-1, Thursday, Aug. 31. Scoring for Penn Yan was Landon Spears. Nathaniel Chaffee made 12 saves in a game that went into overtime.

Girls Soccer
The Penn Yan girls soccer team won against Bloomfield, 6-0, Thursday, Aug. 31.

Tennis
Penn Yan opened their season at home on Thurday defeating Waterloo by a score of 5-0. Rachael Garvey beat Jae Wu at first singles 6-0, 6-1. Also picking up wins for Penn Yan were Anella Tillman at second singles (6-0, 6-2), Natalie Koen at third singles (6-0,6-0), Erin Clancy and Amanda Smith at first doubles (6-0, 6-0), and Charlotte Saner and Aubrey Flores at second doubles (6-0, 6-1).

Volleyball
The Penn Yan volleyball team topped Waterloo, Wednesday, Aug. 30. The game scores were 25-12, 21-25, 25-12, 25-20.

Hammondsport
Boys Soccer
The Hammondsport boys soccer team defeated Marcus Whitman, Friday, Sept. 1. The final score was 4-2.

Volleyball
Hammondsport volleyball team lost in a close match to Canisteo-Greenwood 25-23, 14-25, 25-17, 22-25, 10-15, Thursday, Aug. 31. The Lakers were led at the service line by Vivian Kenyon with 10 aces. Emily Starkweather had nine aces.

Schuyler Storm
Football
The Schuyler Storm football team lost to Spencer-Van Etten/Candor in the season-opener, Saturday, Sept. 2. The final score was 12-6.
On the ground, Bradley Gillis recorded 14 carries for 116 yards. Thomas Snow ran the ball 15 times with 69 yards and Ryan Willett made 14 carries for 50 yards.
Quarterback Gavin Lohmeyer was 4-for-14 passing with 62 yards and a touchdown. Brady Cannon had one catch for a 41-yard touchdown and Willett made two for 23 yards.
Leading tacklers included Nick D'Alleva and Gillis with four each and Snow with three.

Watkins Glen
Girls Soccer
The Watkins Glen girls soccer team defeated Groton, 6-0, Thursday, Aug. 31. Ava Kelly had two goals and one assist. Each recording one goal were: Skye Honrath, Sasha Honrath, Michaela Wheaton and Jennifer Gublo. Briana Hatch added an assist. Goalie Lilly Ameigh made seven saves.
"The girls played a phenomenal game today," said Coach Scott Morse. "With such a short preseason, you don’t always know what to expect, but they worked hard this summer in the weight room with Coach Diliberto and have been very focused in practice and it certainly showed today."

Odessa
Boys Soccer
The Odessa-Montour boys soccer team lost to Marathon, 16-0, Friday, Sept. 1. The team also fell to Southern Cayuga, 6-1, Thursday.

Girls Soccer
The Odessa-Montour girls soccer team fell in its home opener, Thursday, Aug. 31. The girls lost to Marathon, 3-1.
