WATKINS GLEN--At the Wednesday, Dec. 13 meeting of the Schuyler County Industrial Development Agency, the board authorized a resolution to have Lucky Hare Brewing Co. operate the Seneca Harbor Marina Restaurant.
Earlier this year, the SCIDA advertised for proposals from qualified businesses to lease the waterfront full-service restaurant. At the November meeting of the agency, the outgoing operator, Horseheads Brewing, asked for additional discussion and information regarding the decision and a postponement of the vote to select a different operator.
During the Wednesday meeting, the vote was five approving and two abstaining in selecting Lucky Hare Brewing Co. as the new lessee. Currently, Lucky Hare operates locations in Hector and Owego and utilizes a production facility in the Schuyler County Business Park.
The restaurant and bar at 2 Seneca Harbor Dr. is a well-known destination on Seneca Lake and has operated as a restaurant and bar for over twelve years. The building is approximately 2,500 sq. ft. including a covered porch.
