DUNDEE--The Dundee varsity football team went to 2-0 on the season following their home opening 55-10 win over the Mynderse Academy Blue Devils Saturday, Sept. 13. Dundee leapt out to a 22-point lead in the first quarter while their defense held Mynderse to no points. The team would add seven more points in the second quarter, while Mynderse only mustered two points before the half. The Scots added 13 points in each of the final two quarters, giving up only eight points in the fourth quarter to end the game with a 55-10 win. Senior tight end Cole Hartman had the first points of the game with a 19-yard touchdown reception. Senior wideout Jon Huber would then add a two-yard touchdown reception, while senior running back Brennan Krall added a 19-yard touchdown run and a one-yard touchdown run during the game. Following a Mynderse safety, senior running back David Ayers had an 83-yard kick return for a touchdown. Senior linebacker Chris Cramer followed up with a 70-yard interception return for a touchdown. Freshman running back Jovhannie Andrades had a 38-yard touchdown run, while senior lineman Steven Merrill scored on a 30-yard fumble recovery for a touchdown. Defensively, senior lineman Jeffrey Wood had six solo tackles and eight assists along with one forced fumble. Andrades contributed six solo tackles with three assists, one forced fumble and two fumble recoveries. Cramer had two solo tackles and four assists with his 70-yard interception return for a touchdown, Hartman had three solo tackles and five assists, a fumble recovery and a sack, and Merrill had one solo tackle and two assists with his 30-yard fumble recovery for a touchdown.
