Happy Holidays! The Observer and the REVIEW&EXPRESS each published a combined holiday edition with the dates of Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2024 and Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2024. There is not a new paper for Dec. 25. The next new edition is Wednesday, Jan. 1.
The office is closed on Monday, Dec. 23 and will reopen Thursday, Jan 2.

Arts festival starts Saturday in Penn Yan

PENN YAN—The 2013 Keuka Arts Festival will showcase 100 vendors with handmade crafts and works in Penn Yan this weekend, June 8 and 9.
The festival is a fine art and skilled craft show at the Penn Yan Boat Launch and along the Keuka Lake Outlet.  The event is free and will feature live entertainment and activities for families.  It runs 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days.
The vendors will sell paintings, photography, pottery, jewelry and more.  Local restaurants and wineries will offer an array of food and drinks. Picnic tables located throughout the festival area provide visitors an opportunity to sit and relax while enjoying their refreshments.  An adult-only wine court will offer a selection of Finger Lakes wines.
Live music will be provided by Rebecca Colleen and the Chore Lads, Cross Eyed Cat Band, Mike MacDonald and Steve Green Trio.  The lineup covers blues, jazz, rock, and folk.
The schedule is, Saturday, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.: Mike MacDonald at the boat launch and Steve Green Trio at the Outlet Trail. Saturday, 1 to 5 p.m.: Cross Eyed Cat at the outlet and Rebecca Colleen and the Chore Lads at the boat launch.
Sunday, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. is: Steve Green Trio at the boat launch and Mike MacDonald at the outlet. Sunday, 1 to 5 p.m.: Cross Eyed Cat at the boat launch and Rebecca Colleen and the Chore Lads on the outlet.
There is onsite parking adjacent to the festival grounds. Parking attendants will direct drivers to the spots available. Additional nearby parking can be found at the athletic fields located within walking distance of the festival.
The premises are handicap accessible. No pets, bikes or skateboards are allowed. The festival will be held rain or shine.  For more, visit www.keukaartsfestival.com.
